Presentation Description
The Question, the Statement, and the Assessment: skillful use of these
three powerful modes of communication is a cornerstone of great teaching. Music teachers are encouraged to limit verbal instructions in favor of demonstration and discovery, and to talk less and play more during the lesson. Teachers are therefore faced with the task of choosing their few words carefully. Each mode of communication is examined through analysis of common lesson scenarios, and best practices and common pitfalls of teaching will be identified. Discover how to immediately improve the delivery and clarity of your instruction.
