Observational Teaching Practicum

ThisTeaching Practicum provides aspiring and experienced teachers with an opportunity to observe lessons and classes at The New School for Music Study, and to receive mentorship.

​

Participants can observe both individual and group instruction of a variety of levels, ages, and student types with a weekly focus on specific teaching elements. Individual intensive sessions with expert faculty teachers will support the practicum experience.​

Format

Each term includes 10 hours of guided observation, plus mentored teaching with evaluation.
