Online Theory Courses

This Fall, NSMS will offer a new Theory Program under the direction of Ms. Kristin Cahill and Dr. Charl Louw. This program will consist of weekly online classes, designed to prepare students for written Theory examinations and Ear-Training/Sight-Reading components for their Practical assessments. 

 

Students will gain:

• improved music-reading fluency

• increased musical independence

• greater aural skills through ear training

• a deeper understanding of the musical language (including historical development)

 

Class sizes are limited to 12 students. Each class will meet for 12 sessions from September 18th-December 14th (no classes the week of November 20th). 

 

Tuition: $390 (includes RCM theory books)

Registration deadline: September 8th

 

Level 1: Thursdays, 6:00-7:00PM

Level 3: Saturdays 11:45AM-12:45PM

Level 5: Saturdays, 12:45-1:45PM

Level 7: Mondays, 6:00-7:00PM

 

Levels 2, 4, 6, and 8 will be offered in the second part of the school year, starting in January.
