NSMS is pleased to welcome Ms. Morgan Murdock to the faculty for the 2021-2022 school year!
Ms. Murdock joins us all the way from Ketchikan, Alaska. She writes, "I am thrilled to join the faculty at the New School for Music Study and to become part of such an inspiring community of teaching and learning in Kingston! I am also looking forward to continuing in-person work with subscriber support for the Frances Clark Center and the Piano Magazine."
Morgan Murdock received her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Idaho, and went on to finish her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at Samford University. She has passion for music education, and believes music should be accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds.
In addition to teaching, Ms. Murdock collaborates with fellow musicians, adjudicates festivals locally and regionally, and maintaining an active performance and presenting schedule. She made her concerto debut in 2018, soloing with the Slovak State Opera Chamber Orchestra in Bratislava, and also performed in Mozarthaus Vienna’s Bösendorfer Hall. In her spare time, Ms. Murdock might be found visiting the ocean, cooking, dancing, and finding ways to visit new places.
