NSMS is pleased to welcome Mr. Gregory Worthley to the faculty for the 2022-2023 school year!
Mr. Worthley writes, “I am very excited to teach at the New School for Music Study this year! I am looking forward to helping my students meet their musical goals and have exciting and meaningful experiences at the piano.”
Mr. Worthley recently completed his Master’s Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance from Evangel University. While at the University of Oklahoma, Mr. Worthley was awarded a Graduate Teaching Assistantship and taught group and individual lessons to college students, in addition to teaching students of all ages at Norman Music Institute.
One of Mr. Worthley’s favorite aspects of teaching is helping students gain the tools to make music that is meaningful to them. In addition to teaching, he can be found performing and collaborating with other musicians in a wide range of settings, from individual soloists to choirs, jazz bands, and orchestras. Outside of piano, he enjoys reading, all things outdoors, and food.
