There is music in every child! Early childhood - a time of rapid growth and development - is the optimal time to build a musical foundation. Musikgarten classes foster children’s innate love and ability for music-making. Children will learn to sing, play, move, dance, and imagine through the language of music. Classes are age appropriate and designed by music educators to coordinate with your child’s growth and development process.

Family Music (newborns – 18 months) will nurture musical aptitude at a time unparalleled in importance for musical development. Activities include bouncing and rocking songs, finger plays and body awareness games, dances, and instrumental play. All activities stimulate the brain, foster physical development, and cultivate listening skills.

In the Cycle of Seasons (ages 3 - 5), children will enjoy using all of their senses to discover the world around them. They will use their imaginations while singing and playing instruments to nature themed songs. Through echoing rhythm and tonal patterns, they begin to learn the language of music. Purposeful movement activities and focused listening exercises engage their minds and bodies. Language development is nurtured through the rhythm of poetry and storytelling.

Music Makers (ages 4 and up) provides your child with the building blocks of music literacy. An ever-expanding vocabulary of rhythm and tonal patterns is developed. Activities include creative and structured movement, singing, playing instruments, ensemble work, ear training, and guided listening. These activities exercise critical skills such as symbolic thinking, concentration, memory, and self-expression. Children will enjoy multi-cultural themes as they are exposed to the musical heritages of various countries
